Exo is designed and developed with file uploaders in mind. All files uploaded are given a unique ID and stored on the blockchain. Files can then be retrieved via a link through the browser or a GET request.

With decentralized storage, data is encrypted and stored in multiple locations or nodes managed by individuals or organizations that share additional disk space for a fee. Only the data owner owns the private encryption key. The storage provider does not have access to the data.
